The Digital Darkroom
Once the film has been exposed in the field I have it developed and the rest of the work is done digitally.
The Digital Workflow
- Once the film has been processed I review it with a light table and loupe.
- From that review I select negatives to scan, and do a quick scan at 'low" resolution.
- If the image still looks promising I scan it at high resolution, 48 bit scan.
- Bring it into Photoshop
- Balance the colors (if needed)
- Clean up any minor imperfections like dust
- Archive the digital files to CD or DVD.
- Print a sample and evaluate the print.
