About this Web Site
This web site is the showcase of Bruce Barrett's photography.
It was developed entirely "in-house" and uses a single CGI program to manage the Home page, Preferences and Galleries. The Gallery data is all contained and maintained in a FileMaker(R) database. The rest of the web site is "hand-crafted" HTML that relies heavily on Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). As such there are lots of nice, easy to change features, as well as the down-side of really old browsers having trouble with some things.
I use the wonderful support of the features of BBEdit to ease this process. The Photoshop work, page design wordsmithing were all done on Apple Macintosh computers.
Thumbnails, resizing, and adding copyright text to images is done with Graphic Converter.
Significant design consulting was contributed by my wife, Joy Faye Rowan who's site is JoyfulGreetings.com.
